How can I help you?
I have always loved the arts and using technology. I want to take these passions and use them to help others reach their goals- personally and professionally.
I provide content writing and development services, and website design to those who would like to build or improve their online presence. There are many websites out there that are outdated. This suggests to consumers that either the owner may not be keeping up with their site or they don’t have the capacity to update. For me as a consumer, I am wary of these sites and worry about their trustworthiness.
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives live to thee.
– William Shakespeare
Who am I?
I was born in Davao City, Philippines and migrated to the United States in 2000 with my parents and two sisters. I have lived in Redford, Michigan and Oak Forest, Illinois and currently in downtown Chicago.
I am graduating this spring from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a degree in English, concentrating in Culture, Media, and Rhetorical Studies, and a minor in Kinesiology.
I am interested in content writing for marketing and public relations. I enjoy using technology to illustrate ideas and communicate thoughts to others. I also love books and urge everyone to read and form their own views and opinions based on the worlds and imaginations that are cultivated from these stories.
My ideal future would be to take these two passions and unite them to provide today’s readership, and the future’s, with new and lasting books.
‘Working Gal’ series
I have gained work experience in various industries including sales, administration, marketing and public relations, and technology, among others. I believe I have advice that can help people, especially young adults, navigate the work place. Posting up to 3 articles a week, I’m writing content on subjects ranging from job searching to letters of resignation.
‘Out and About in Chicago’ series
I am an avid Yelp browser. Star ratings base my decisions on where I’m going for coffee, dinner, dancing, etc. Unfortunately, most of the reviews on Yelp and other online review outlets tend to be personal and one-sided and don’t offer sound information about the venues themselves. Posting as often as I wander outside of my apartment, this series will document cool places to go in Chicago and tell the facts like:
-Cover (if applicable)
-Price range of menu or other goods
-Other nearby attractions
I will also include a description of my personal experience and an overall star rating (because they are useful for making decisions).
